Succumb

Succumb is an interactive dance performance for two dancers.

The floor is made liquid by black rain drops controlled by one dancer’s fast movements. This washes away the black patterns drawn by the other dancer’s slow movements. The two dancers must learn to coexist in the same space and not succumb to the others presence.

Dancers: Amanda Klepper and Katie Brady.

Code in collaboration with Jingyi Wen.

Succumb is a show presented as the culmination of the class “Choreographic Interventions” at ITP NYU, taught by Mimi Yin.
