Audance is a networked interactive music web app that allows users to play together over the internet in real time, using their computer keyboard, mouse and webcam as instruments, regardless of musical training or experience.
Audance is the culmination of a thesis on collaborative online music creation done by Max Horwich at the Interactive Telecommunication Program, New York University.
Audance can be accessed from your home computer or as an interactive installation with midi-controllers and leap motion for hand tracking, replacing the mouse and keyboard input. The many different interaction forms create different forms of expressions between the users, lowering the barrier to music creation.
